About Solar Consult

Solar Consult is a specialist UK energy consultancy working across two connected sides of the energy market: professional solar PV design and business utility brokering. We help people and organisations understand exactly what a solar system will do for them, and then pay less for the energy they already use.

On the solar side, we produce fully engineered PV system designs for MCS-registered installers, commercial property owners and homeowners. Every design covers panel layout, string configuration, inverter and battery selection, shading analysis and yield modelling, together with the documentation needed for DNO applications and MCS compliance. Installers use us to take design off their critical path and win more work, while businesses and homeowners use us to see precisely what a system will generate and what it will cost before they commit.

On the utilities side, we act as a whole-of-market broker for business electricity and gas, comparing suppliers and negotiating contract terms so that organisations stop overpaying for power. We handle the paperwork, watch the renewal dates and stay on the account so nothing rolls onto a costly out-of-contract rate.

Our clients range from sole-trader installers and SME facilities managers to homeowners planning their first system. Solar Consult is built and run by a small UK-based team of solar designers and energy consultants, supported by a close network of premium installation partners we have worked with for years — so the standard of the design is matched by the standard of the install.
